Katrina Bakker, Osteopath

Katrina Bakker is a qualified and registered osteopath, having completed both her Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University in Melbourne. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of Osteopathy Australia.

Kat enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds and has practical experience in managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She has a particular interest in women’s health and is passionate about supporting patients through all stages of pre- and post-natal care. She also has experience in treating sports injuries, workplace related conditions, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation.

Kat’s goal is to reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance her patients’ overall quality of life. Her treatment approach is hands-on and primarily focused on direct techniques, including soft and deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, cupping, and myofascial dry needling. She also integrates complementary methods, such as indirect techniques and exercise rehabilitation, to provide a well-rounded, individualised plan for each patient.

“With a background in dance (ballet, jazz, and contemporary), I’ve always been fascinated by how the body moves. That long-standing interest in health and movement is what eventually led me to study osteopathy.

I genuinely care about each of my patients and want to see them doing well. I’m here to support them through every stage of their pain journey and help people get back to doing what they love”

Outside of the clinic, Kat can often be found hiking, sewing, or enjoying a salsa dance class.
