Alysha Zhang

Alysha is a highly experienced Acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner. She joined St George Health in 2025 and we are very excited to have her providing Acupuncture and TCM services for our Kogarah Clinic.

She has more than 25 years of clinical experience in both China and Australia. She has particular interests in supporting clients with Pain and Mental Health problems, and Women on the path of Fertility, Pregnancy and Menopause.

Alysha has been trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Shanghai TCM University. Upon graduation in 1996, she obtained a position as a TCM doctor at the Shanghai Tianshan TCM Hospital and worked there for 10 years in the departments of Gynaecology and Internal medicine. This experience gave her a deeper insight into the applicability of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in women’s health and fertility care.

After moving to Australia in 2006, she continues to use both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to treat a wide range of problems with a clinical focus on Emotional / Mental Health and Women’s Health. Since she has been working with physiotherapists and Chiropractors, she has met many patients who had musculoskeletal problems that help her to sum up a set of methods to relieve and/or manage pain.

She can also help other problems such as Digestive Health, Skin Conditions, Sleep Disorders, Nervous System Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, and provides consmetic acupuncture for facial renewal. 

Currently she is a registered acupuncturist and herbalist of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and a fully accredited member of ATMS, CMASA and CMIC.

Her approach is very gentle and effective that enables her to work with you to design a tailored and effective treatment plan to achieve greater balance, health and joy in your life.
