Like adults, children will use past experiences to distort the way they experience all future events. Although adults tend to be more effective at realizing the inaccuracy of such distortions, many children lack both the experience and the resources to deal with the over-whelm it can create.

Some children can express their thoughts whilst others make mention of it and parents really have no way of quantifying the significance until it slaps them in the face. When in this state we can begin to change unwanted thoughts and feelings, resolving any past issues and move them to a bright, happy future.
